Kim Kardashian Shares a Candid Family Wedding Photo!
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West tied the knot at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence, Italy last month - and we've got pictures of their big day. Kim shared an Instagram snap of herself with her new husband and their daughter, North, at the wedding, saying, "My everything." The bride wore a Givenchy Haute Couture gown and was walked down the aisle by her stepfather, Bruce Jenner, while the rest of her family - including sisters Khloé and Kourtney Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner - stayed close by as she and Kanye exchanged vows. The ceremony was performed by hot Miami pastor Rich Wilkerson Jr., while longtime Kardashian family friend and celebrity event planner Sharon Sacks planned the couple's nuptials. Kim, Kanye, and their guests were spotted arriving in Florence on Saturday morning after spending the previous day in Paris with a gigantic prewedding celebration. The couple arrived in the Italian city separately, while family and friends - including guests like LaLa Anthony, Brittny Gastineau, Jaden Smith, and Jonathan Cheban - arrived on their own flights.
Not in attendance at the couple's wedding, however, were Jay Z and Beyoncé. While it was reported that Jay Z would serve as Kanye's best man, it seems as though the superstar couple skipped the wedding in favor of a Memorial Day weekend trip to the Hamptons in New York. Also missing from the action? Kim's younger brother, Rob Kardashian, who was spotted touching down at LAX on Saturday after reportedly getting into a heated argument with the bride.
The Kardashian-Jenner clan was in Europe throughout the week to celebrate the festivities and didn't shy away from sharing loads of photos of the fun on social media. On Thursday evening before the wedding, Kim celebrated her bachelorette party with girlfriends at the Louvre and Eiffel Tower. Family and friends officially kicked off the wedding weekend in style on Friday with a special reception at the Chateau de Wideville (aka designer Valentino Garavani's Paris home), followed by a private guided tour of the famed grounds of Versailles. At the Palace of Versailles, Kim and Kanye threw a lavish prewedding dinner that brought out close friends Serena Williams, NeNe Leakes, and André Leon Talley, fashion designers Alexander Wang and Olivier Rousteing, and director Steve McQueen. The soiree also featured a performance by Lana Del Rey, who Kanye hired to serenade the crowd with three songs, including her hit "Summertime Sadness" and Kanye's favorite song, "Young and Beautiful." <P>PETA's youth division, peta2, is giving props to celebs like <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/kesha_/artist.jhtml">Ke$ha</a> and "Glee" star Lea Michele at this year's <a href="http://features.peta2.com/libby-awards-2011/?utm_campaign=1211%20Libbys%20Nominees%20Press%20Pitches&utm_source=peta2%20Pitch&utm_medium=Media#PeopleAndMusic" target="_blank">Libby Awards</a> for their efforts in support of animal rights.</P><P>The Biebs, who appeared in a <a href="/news/articles/1656302/justin-bieber-peta-ad.jhtml">campaign</a> for the organization at the top of the year using Bieber-fied catch-phrases like "My world includes passion for animals, yours should too" and "Animals can make u smile. Adopt from your local shelter," is taking on fellow animal-loving pop star Ke$ha and rappers k-os and Waka Flocka Flame in the Most Animal-Friendly Pop/Hip-Hop Artist category. Ke$ha appeared in an ad campaigning against the slaughter of Canadian seals.</P><P>Michele, who speaks out against the mistreatment of carriage horses in New York City, faces off against "Jackass" star Steve-O, Cobra Starship's leading man and peta2's Sexiest Vegetarian Gabe Saporta, and "Victorious" star Daniella Monet in the Top Animal-Friendly Celebrity category.</P><P>The Ready Set, Tokio Hotel, Hellogoodbye and the Swellers are all up for Most Animal-Friendly Band. Ke$ha and Tokio are also up for Best peta2 ad along with Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness and Yelle.</P><P>The Libby (as in "Liberation") Awards will be decided on January 17 by fan votes as well as peta2. Voting ends December 23.</P><P>"Our nominees have all worked hard to shine their spotlights on a variety of important animal issues," peta2 Division Manager Marta Holmberg said about the nominees, which honors animal-friendly people and products. At the Tony Awards, Neil Patrick Harris delivered a showstopping performance of ‘Sugar Daddy from the musical ‘Hedwig and the Angry Inch.’ As the title character, a transgender woman, he stole the show and involved several audience members, including Samuel L. Jackson, Kevin Bacon and others into his daring and edgy performance. The former ‘How I Met Your Mother star Neil Patrick Harris, who hosted the Tony Awards last year, quite literally stole the show with his exuberant performance as Hedwig, for which he was nominated for the Tony Award and went on to win later in the evening. In a long blond wig and a short and wildly colored costume and sheer leggins, he embodied his transgender German punk rock singer character sang and danced his way on and off the stage and wandered into the audience. He took Samuel L. Jackson’s glasses and licked them. And that was just the start of the over-the-top antics of his wild character, Hedwig, as he proceeded to give a lap dance to Kevin Bacon and to Sting, and to kiss another man in the audience full on the lips.
