Lucy Hale Covers Cosmopolitan, Talks ‘Pretty Little Liars’ Superficiality, ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ Audition and More

Lucy Hale graces the cover of Cosmopolitan magazine and opens up on a range of topics including the superficiality of ‘Pretty Little Liars,’ the show that made her a star, her awkward audition for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey,’ her new career as a country music artist and much more. Lucy Hale became a household name thanks to ‘Pretty Little Liars’ on ABC Family which sees her portraying portrays Aria Montgomery in a cast that includes Troian Bellisario, Shay Mitchell, and Ashley Benson who have also found fame. She tells Cosmopolitan, that the program “is about how we look too. That’s terrifying sometimes because you’re breaking out or you feel gross and you still have to be in front of the camera.” She went on to add, “We’ll post pictures on Instagram and people will be like, ‘Y’all are so flawless.’ Little do they know it’s fake hair, fake eyelashes, and a good filter.
