J.K. Simmons, SNL Host: Review Roundup, Video Highlights

J.K. Simmons made his debut as the host of Saturday Night Live in a Super Bowl themed episode. The Oscar-nominated star of ‘Whiplash’ took to the stage of Studio 8H and the critics have weighed in. He has received an Oscar nod for his role in ‘Whiplash,’ and has has won the Golden Globe for that very same critically acclaimed performance. He’s one of those highly versatile actors well respected among peers for excelling throughout the gamut of comedy to drama to tragedy. He regaled the audience in his opening monologue as he took on the SNL cast members and displayed extreme meanness even while declaring himself “nice” in real life.
