Gary Oldman Apologizes for Controversial Comments in Playboy Magazine on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ (Video)

Gary Oldman gave a lengthy and emotional apology on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ for the controversial remarks he had made in a Playboy interview in which he was attempting to defend Mel Gibson and Alec Baldwin and blast liberal hypocracy in Hollywood and made anti-Semitic remarks in the process. Gary Oldman was already scheduled to make an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” as part of the publicity for the new movie, ‘Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.’ He took the opportunity to apologize again for his remarks in the Playboy magazine interview, in which — while attempting to make a point about liberal hypocricy in Hollywood and a double standard as far as who can and cannot make derogatory comments and get away with it, expressing the belief that Bill Maher or Jon Stewart could get away with a slur against Nancy Pelosi — he concocted a hypothetical obscene slur in the interview — whereas he could not. He defended both Mel Gibson and Alec Baldwwin for their respective anti-Semitic and homophobic remarks.
