Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal Pay Tribute to Robin Williams on ‘The View’ (Video)

Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal paid an emotional and at times tearful tribute to the late Robin Williams during a special segment on ‘The View.’ The two comedians shared a decades long friendship and numerous collaborations with the comedic legends, including their many ‘Comic Relief’ telethons. Just weeks after the tragic and untimely death of the 63-year-old Robin Williams by suicide, Whoopi Goldberg and Billy Crystal reminisced before the studio audience and the viewing audience worldwide, sharing stories and memories of their departed friend. Goldberg revealed just how far back the friendship went, noting she had first met him at the San Diego Comedy Store and then became reacquainted ten years later. She knew him even before Billy Crystal did. And, as is well known the comedians gave some iconic performances during a series of ‘Comic Relief’ telethons to raise money for the homeless.
