Uma Thurman Responds to Plastic Surgery and ‘New Face’ Speculation (Video)

Uma Thurman responded to the uproar over her perceived “new face” as well as the speculation that she had had plastic surgery sparked after a red carpet appearance for the miniseries ‘The Slap.’ She made her first public comments during a live interview on the ‘Today Show.’ Once again, an actress is all but forced to respond after excessive and invasive chatter about her face, and the speculation that she’s had plastic surgery. The 44-year-old Uma Thurman now finds herself in a similar situation as did the 45-year-old Renee Zellweger who released a written statement to People Magazine. The parallels are obvious, of course. Both actresses are over age 40 and it’s a case of damned if you do, damned if you don’t. If it weren’t a “new face” it would be an uproar on wrinkles on an “old face.” And to think, several years ago, she caused an uproar with a sheer dress, and even to this day, Googling Uma Thurman sheer dress will yield some interesting results.
