Taylor Swift Receives ACM Awards Milestone Award from Mom Andrea Finlay (VIDEO)

Taylor Swift received the Milestone Award at the ACMs from her mother, Andrea Finlay and gave an emotional speech. It marked her first public appearance together with her since sharing the news that her mother is battling cancer. For Taylor Swift on stage at the 50th anniversary of the ACM Awards before the enormous crowd at the AT&T Stadium in Texas it was clearly a bittersweet moment. She got her start as a country-pop music singer, and, despite her rebranding of late as a bona fide pop music superstar, she returned to her roots, and was among the seven honored this year with the Milestone Award by the Academy of Country Music. She was in stellar company as fellow honorees were George Strait, Garth Brooks, Reba McEntire, Kenny Chesney, Brooks & Dunn, and Miranda Lambert.
